Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 21 October 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Just Sparky. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, https://justsparky.co.uk and the electrical services we offer.

By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms where applicable. Please read them carefully before proceeding with a service request.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Just Sparky, while “you” and “your” refer to visitors, customers or individuals using our services.

2. Our Services

Just Sparky provides electrical services that may include:

  • Domestic and commercial Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).

  • Consumer unit and distribution board replacement.

  • Electrical remedial works.

  • LED lighting replacement.

  • Emergency lighting testing.

  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).

  • Thermal imaging surveys.

  • Other electrical inspection, testing, repair and installation services listed on our website.

The availability of individual services depends on the property, location, requirements and our service arrangements.

3. Website Information

We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. However, website content is provided for general information and does not constitute a confirmed quotation or guarantee that a particular service is suitable for every property.

Service descriptions, images and examples are illustrative. The precise scope of work will be confirmed when discussing your requirements.

4. Enquiries and Bookings

You may contact us through our website or the contact details provided to enquire about our services.

Submitting an enquiry does not automatically confirm a booking or create a service contract. A booking will be confirmed when the service, scope of work, price and appointment arrangements have been agreed.

Please provide accurate information about your property and the work required so that we can assess your request appropriately.

5. Quotations and Pricing

We provide quotations based on the information available at the time of assessment.

Unless otherwise stated, a quotation will describe the agreed work and its price. Additional work may be required if further electrical faults or unexpected conditions are discovered.

We will explain any proposed changes to the scope or price and obtain your agreement before proceeding with additional chargeable work, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to address an urgent safety issue and is legally permissible.

Any applicable taxes, additional charges and payment arrangements will be explained before you commit to the service.

6. Payments

Payment terms will be agreed before work begins. Depending on the service, payment may be due upon completion or in accordance with an agreed deposit or invoice arrangement.

Where an invoice is issued, the payment deadline will be stated on it.

If a payment dispute arises, please contact us promptly so that the matter can be reviewed. Nothing in these terms removes any rights you may have under applicable law.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.

Any cancellation charges or deposit arrangements must be communicated before you agree to the booking and must be fair and lawful.

Where you book services online, by telephone or away from our business premises, statutory cancellation rights may apply. Certain exceptions can apply to services requested to begin during a cancellation period.

If you ask us to begin work before the end of an applicable cancellation period, we will explain any relevant requirements and obtain any necessary express request or consent.

8. Customer Responsibilities

To help us provide our services safely and efficiently, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and requested work.

  • Arrange reasonable access to the areas requiring inspection or repair.

  • Inform us of known electrical faults or relevant safety concerns.

  • Secure pets and inform us of any access restrictions.

  • Ensure an authorised adult is available where required.

  • Tell us about relevant site hazards or special access requirements.

If access is unavailable or the work cannot safely proceed, the appointment may need to be rearranged. Any resulting charges will be handled in accordance with the agreed booking terms and applicable law.

9. Electrical Inspections and Testing

Electrical inspections and testing are carried out according to the agreed service and the applicable requirements.

An EICR assesses the condition of the electrical installation within the inspection’s agreed scope. It does not guarantee that every concealed defect or future electrical fault will be identified.

Where defects are discovered, we will explain the relevant findings and any recommended further investigation or remedial work.

An inspection report is not a substitute for repairs where defects require corrective action.

10. Remedial Work and Installation

Electrical remedial work, repairs and installations will be carried out according to the agreed scope and applicable safety requirements.

If additional defects are discovered, we will discuss the recommended work and any associated costs with you before proceeding with additional chargeable work.

Where an immediate electrical hazard is identified, we may need to stop the affected work or recommend that the relevant equipment or circuit remains isolated until it can be made safe.

Applicable electrical certification or other documentation will be provided for completed work where required.

11. Appointments and Delays

We aim to attend appointments at the agreed time. However, delays may occur due to emergencies, access issues, supply problems, adverse conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If a significant delay or change affects your appointment, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and arrange an alternative time.

Nothing in this section removes any legal rights you may have regarding delays or failure to provide an agreed service.

12. Guarantees and Warranties

Any manufacturer warranty or workmanship guarantee will be provided only where applicable and subject to its stated terms.

Unless expressly confirmed in writing, no additional guarantee should be assumed.

These terms do not exclude or restrict any rights or remedies that you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

13. Liability

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for issues caused by inaccurate information supplied by a customer, unauthorised interference with completed work or pre-existing defects outside the agreed scope, except where the law requires otherwise.

Any liability will be assessed in accordance with the applicable contract and legal requirements.

14. Website Use

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to:

  • Attempt unauthorised access to the website or its systems.

  • Introduce malicious software or harmful code.

  • Interfere with website functionality or security.

  • Copy or misuse website content in violation of applicable intellectual property rights.

We may update website content or functionality when reasonably necessary.

15. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, branding, graphics and other content on the Just Sparky website belong to us or are used with permission.

You may view and use website content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction or commercial use without appropriate permission is not permitted, except where allowed by law.

16. Privacy and Cookies

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies. Where required, consent will be requested before non-essential cookies are used.

Please review our Privacy Policy and cookie information for further details.

17. Complaints and Disputes

If you are unhappy with our services, please contact us with details of your concern so that we can investigate and try to resolve the issue.

We aim to deal with complaints fairly and promptly. You retain any rights available to you under applicable law, including the right to pursue a legal remedy where appropriate.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes to our services, website or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or alter an existing agreement where this is not legally permitted.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales where applicable.

Mandatory legal protections and jurisdictional rights that apply to individual customers will remain unaffected.
